How do I enable notifications?

SwimSeasons offers multi-channel notifications to keep swimmers and families updated throughout the season:

Web Push Notifications (iOS, Android, & Desktop)

Get instant notifications right on your device for critical meet milestones and live event reminders.

  • iOS: Open Safari, tap Share, select "Add to Home Screen", open the installed SwimSeasons app icon, and turn on "Push notifications on this device" in your Account Settings page.
  • Android & Desktop: Open your Account Settings page and turn on "Push notifications on this device" directly.
  • Per-Device Push Control: While notification preferences sync across your entire account, you can toggle push alerts on or off independently on each individual phone, tablet, or browser you use.
Dynamic Shifted Timeline Alerts

Unlike static PDF schedules, SwimSeasons calculates your upcoming heats against the live, dynamic meet pace in real time:

  • 10 Minutes Before Event: Reminds swimmers and parents when it's time to get on deck (~10 minutes before their heat starts, calculated from real-time heat progression).
  • 30 Minutes Before Event: Useful for swimmers to get that extra warmup in when there is a long rest gap (>45 minutes) between events.
Instant Results, Warmup Starts, & Announcements

Receive immediate notifications when session warmups begin on deck, and when your swimmer's official time is recorded (including new Personal Records and Motivational Time cuts achieved!).

Multi-Channel Delivery

Choose between Web Push, Email, or Both for each notification type in Account Settings -> Notification Settings.
